James A. Wolf, M.D.
Dr. Wolf is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, taking degrees in Liberal Arts and in Chemistry, followed by a master’s degree at the University of Houston. He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Wolf received postgraduate training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, becoming Board-Certified in Surgery in 1987.
He completed two years of additional Fellowship in Surgical Oncology (cancer surgery) at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, then served on faculty at the medical school for one year before entering private practice. Dr. Wolf served as Founding Director of the Kelsey-Seybold Breast Clinic, a large private breast clinic that is still in operation today.
The Wolf family moved to Idaho in 2001. We brought our family to Boise in search of a wholesome lifestyle that was absent in the big city, says Dr. Wolf. We found the people of Idaho to be honest, hard-working, and friendly. The Boise medical community is remarkably progressive for a city of this size, with many University-trained, Board-certified practitioners who provide cutting-edge medical care. The Wolf family enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking, and skiing.
Dr. Wolf is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Diseases.
